Holiday Pens For Troops

For the third year in a row Ohio credit unions, friends and partners donated a tremendous amount of ink pens for deployed U.S. troops. Eaton Family Credit Union delivered over 60 pounds of pens to Global Glass Block in Euclid, OH where Tony LaPorte collects necessities for our troops throughout the year. Visa Credit Card Limit Lifted

Eaton Family Credit Union has removed the $200 daily limit on Visa credit card purchases. The change should go into effect this evening so anything you buy tonight, this weekend and thereafter will be subject to previous limits and restrictions. Credit Union Food Drive

Eaton Family Credit union has joined with other Ohio credit unions to participate in the fifth annual Ohio Credit Union Food Drive , a statewide effort, to celebrate International Credit Union Month and the credit union philosophy of People Helping People. All donations collected from Eaton Family Credit Union members and employees will remain in our local community to benefit our neighbors in need. The collected non-perishable foods will be donated to Euclid Hunger Center and Willoughby Food Pantry. Thank you for helping Ohio's credit unions feed hungry Ohioans.

$1,100 Raised For Local Hospital

The Eaton Family Credit Union, its employees and members donated $1,100 to Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital during this year’s Brian & Joe Rainbow Radiothon; an increase of $400 more than last year. Click here for more information and photos.

Eaton Family Credit Union Races For The Cure

Eaton Family Credit Union employees and family members participated in the 15th Annual Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday, September 13, 2008. Credit union members, employees, current and previous board members contributed $507.15; an increase of about $100.00 compared to last year. Mike Losneck, President of the Euclid, OH credit union, said, “It was great that everyone participated in this worthwhile cause.” Click here to donate.

Phishing Scam: Email and Text Message

Some credit union members and non-members may receive emails and or cell phone text messages about suspension of their online account access. In these scams the recipients are given a phone number to call to reinstate their online account access. A reply to this fraudulent email or text can help the fraudsters get access to member accounts. Please be aware of this and other phishing scams. Click here for more information on ID Theft.

Financial Education Workshop

Euclid, OH, May 14, 2008 - Last night over one dozen people attended a financial education presented by Bob Houston, WECO Fund Inc to hear how to build credit, savings and financial security at the Euclid Public Library . They learned how to manage spending, set-up an emergency saings fund, get out of debt, plan for retirement, find extra income and recession protection. Eaton Family Credit Union provided food and beverages.

Eaton Family Credit Union’s News section is now interactive. News and information on Eaton Family Credit Union for our community and credit union members is now posted in Blog format. “We initially posted ‘thank you’ notes from a Junior Achievement class. I hope that this will be an easy way for credit union stakeholders to let us know how we’re doing,” said Mike Losneck, President, Eaton Family Credit Union. Going forward the credit union will evaluate whether to keep the application at http://EatonFamilyCU.blogspot.com or make it part of its current website. Utilizing Google’s Blogger, free, online application, the credit union posts news features online and welcome’s response from community and community members. All posts are approved by the credit union and respondents can post anonymously or can include their name.
