$1,000 College Scholarship Winners

Eaton Family Credit Union is very proud to announce that Michael Maroney, Melinda Arko and Eric Hornung have each been awarded $1,000 college scholarships.

“We had some great candidates this year and these three came out above all,” says Mike Losneck, President. “I like the fact that they’re superior students and are involved in extracurricular and community activities. We are committed to helping our members and their children achieve their financial goals.”

Each year, the National Financial Educators Council releases a National Financial Literacy Test , which is taken by Americans of all ages, financial positions, and backgrounds. The test measures participants’ knowledge as it pertains to earning, saving, and growing their money.   As of 2020, the average score of 15- to 18-year-olds who took the test stood at 68 percent, just shy of a passing score.
